About

Cardiac ultrasound (echocardiography) is a method to study heart function and in the UK is only currently performed by highly trained echo specialists. Alongside its necessity in cases of complex cardiological disease, echocardiography is also used for routine applications, taking basic measurements which often turn out to be normal. The SureScan system has been developed to assist the monitoring of heart function by front-line healthcare professionals with minimal training, allowing echo specialists to concentrate their attention on more complex cases and reducing waiting times for patients. The system combines ProbeZone, a real time imaging system that helps the operator correctly position the probe for the desired heart view, with MagiQuant which takes automated measurements of blood flow and myocardial movement and function. The output is a meaningful, transferable result with a quantitative index of confidence and accuracy comparable to that generated by a trained specialist. This technology is patent pending and available for licence. When contacting us, please quote reference numberl 5333.
