simple use; can be tailored; versatile; no need for germination

About

Researchers have manipulated the bacterial germination/sporulation cycle to create novel biosensors. The technology relies on genetically modified prkC receptors that trigger germination in response to a particular signal, such as an antibiotic, DNA, or environmental contaminants. This is a novel application for bacterial spores as versatile biosensors. We are now looking for co-development or licensing partners for this platform technology.   When contacting us, please use our internal reference code: 5563
