Automated Retinal Image Analysis For Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Developed in collaboration with Moorfields Eye Hospital, this software separates normal from abnormal retinal images allowing skilled people to concentrate on diagnosis. Moorfields estimates that currently 80% of their time is dedicated to separating out normal retinal images. The software has been tested on thousands of ethnically diverse retinal images and would improve throughput and reduce costs in screening and diabetic monitoring programmes. Status: Patent pending.
