LSF is an early stage company that has developed a radical new process that can produce low sulphur distillate, and broad range naphtha from used oils, rubber tyres and plastics using our patented electrochemical process. The technology is a low energy process using advanced electrochemistry to alter the molecular structure of the feedstocks so that contaminants such as sulphur, chlorine, nitrogen and metals are easily removed.

Disposing of used oil, rubber tyres & plastics in landfills and/or exporting it to developing countries for reprocessing, dumping or burning is causing massive environmental emissions of CO2, NOx and SOx! Plus many of these routes are closing or are becoming illegal. >30% of used oils and rubber are dumped or incinerated annually >70% of used plastics are dumped, landfilled or incinerated Low Sulphur Distillate can be used as a fuel or a refinery feedstock. As a marine fuel: IMO-2020 - All global commercial ships must use 0.5% Sulphur fuels to ISO:8217. Using known fuel data LSF should give emission reductions of (g/kWh): SO2 90%; NOx 11%; BC 55%. rCarbon Black is produced as by-product of our process, and is expected to have a 75% CO2 reduction Broad range Naphtha (to Platts PAAAL0X spec): processing various ‘used’ plastics in line with EU EPR rules will reduce the incineration of used plastics, expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 50%.
