Summary

Background

Royal Dutch Shell PLC is a British-Dutch oil and gas company headquartered in the Netherlands and incorporated in the United Kingdom. It is one of the oil and gas "supermajors" and the third-largest company in the world measured by 2018 revenues.

Challenge

The lubricants product development group within Shell are looking for ideas to make their products more sustainable.

This covers both sustainable packaging, the sustainability of the lubricant (either greater use of bio-renewable materials and/or re-use of recycled base oils/additives) and also how to make the production of such lubricants more energy efficient.

Any non-confidential summaries of novel ideas in these areas would be of potential interest.

What's in it for you?

A successful collaboration could mean, for individuals, becoming part of the wider Shell group, while for organisations, forming a partnership/joint venture to co-develop and co-launch the idea to market.

This is a global challenges and Shell are willing to collaborate with both individuals/freelancers and other industry participants/universities etc. and solutions can be at any stage of development.
