Background
Social media is often the first place that provides indication of major events, fires, floods, mass casualty incidents etc.
Challenge
Can social media be exploited to provide early (in advance of formal media activity, BBC/CNN etc) indication of major events?
The solution would have to be ‘tuneable’, ie our client would want to be able to focus the tool to react to specific event types.
The tool should provide a rich feed of prioritized social media related to any event identified.
