Challenge
We have a focus in healthy skin, and are looking for technologies and solutions which allows frictionless monitoring of chronic skin conditions such as acne, rosacea and atopic dermatitis. An understanding of how their skin fluctuates between periods of flares and remission will allow the sufferer to make sure they are using the most suitable products at the right time.
Ideally, it will also help identify how the consumer’s lifestyle affects their skin health, anticipate when their regime may need to change, and/or demonstrate the benefits of recommended skin treatments.
Fundamental requirements are
- The technology can be used by a non-trained customer, provide immediate results (not sending samples away and getting results a week later), and takes little or no effort and time.
- The technology is at a level of development where it can be safely tested by members of the public.
It is likely that any solution could fall under medical device regulations, and we would expect the submitter to understand these requirements and preferably have the relevant certification in place.
