My mission is to speed up the energy transition to renewable energy by providing a sustainable, safe and scalable battery and help tackle the water crisis using technologies powered by renewables. To put it simply, I am developing (1) an energy storage system using water and table salt, which I call the Blue Battery https://aquabattery.nl/ and (2) a 100% solar-powered water desalination technology http://desolenator.com/. The development of both technologies requires knowledge of chemical engineering and physical transport phenomena, which I have acquired during my PhD study at Imperial College London.
