Joining the dots across the East of England’s innovation ecosystem

The Connected Innovation Programme, which was established by New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), links together 25 innovation hubs, universities, research institutes, Freeport East and Norfolk and Suffolk’s key business clusters.

The Connected Innovation digital platform has now launched, providing an array of information for innovative businesses across Norfolk and Suffolk. The website provides businesses with information on their local innovation hub, sectoral and technological clusters, and key academic institutions and research institutes in the region for them to engage with. The opportunities here are endless from knowledge transfer partnerships to forming collaborative networks to take forward new ideas.

For businesses seeking information on finance and investment opportunities, the platform has a wide range of information to support. The business support portal also sets out key partners that businesses can reach out to for assistance, joining the dots from national to local support.

Julian Munson, Head of Innovation and Enterprise Zones at New Anglia LEP and Chair of the Connected Innovation Network, added “The Connected Innovation Programme has created the largest regional innovation network in the country, which has been established with the support from New Anglia LEP and public sector funding. The launch of this platform will support businesses and academic partners to go after innovation opportunities, linking them with support that is available. It will also demonstrate the national and global impact of research and innovation across our innovation ecosystem.”

The platform will include a news section, setting out the important innovations and research taking place across the network and highlighting case studies from the innovation support available to business. Exciting innovation events are regularly taking place across the East of England, and the Connected Innovation platform is the go-to place for this information.
