An effective measure against global warming

Why waste water heat recovery

Thanks to ever stricter regulations on the building envelope and consequently thicker insulation, energy consumption for heating has been massively reduced over the past decades.

However, the energy requirement for hot water remains constant.

Due to the increased hygiene requirements and ever larger overhead showers, it can even be assumed that the energy consumption for hot water – and especially for showers – will increase even more

Nowadays a household needs the same amount of energy for hot water as for the entire space heating system.

Time to “plug” the last big hole in the insulation. Because it really makes no sense to produce a lot of hot water with valuable energy, which we dispose of after only two seconds of use.

The Joulia-solution:

Instead of letting valuable heat energy from shower water go to waste, the Joulia shower drain channel recovers this energy and provides a sustainable shower experience with the highest comfort level.

The cold water supply is connected directly to the upstream heat exchanger. The waste energy of the used shower water pre-heats the incoming cold water, which reaches the mixing valve already warmed, so less hot water from the boiler is needed to enjoy a relaxing warm shower.

The modular heat exchanger technology is fully scalable and works as a thermal accelerator for the domestic hot water production.

The linear drain can be implemented in all kinds of projects, from residential to public, renovations as new buildings.
