Scope: To enable desirable ultra-narrow, parking/congestion-busting characteristics and maintain stability in all scenarios, a vehicle must tilt to adjust its centre-of-gravity (Cg) as cyclists, skiers, runners, horses lean inward when cornering, efficiently maintaining momentum. Unique hardware and software automotive suspension system enables the vehicle to tilt, this in turn allows smallest possible frontal area, tandem seat configuration, ultra-light weight, combined with good driver visibility and the option of a tilting trailer to increase carrying capacity. It helps allow the lowest possible in-use and through-life power/fuel use and tail pipe/remote emissions for the longest range at highway speed. It is a congestion busting, easily parked, practical, urban and intra-urban road vehicle. 200km range, 130km/h, climate control with enclosed versions, 0.85m wide tilting trailer option to suit narrow spaces/gaps. -- Other advantages to this type of vehicle are: - Increased safety at junctions as there is no hood/bonnet projecting in front of the driver restricting their view. - Increased pedestrian and cyclist safety than an automobile due to the rounded front end and smaller frontal area. - Shorter and more controlled stopping distances under braking are possible than with motorcycles or automobiles because of low vehicle mass to large ground contact ratios. - Vehicle steering and control is intuitive, low skill and by familiar means. - Minimisation of road rage, with easier, quicker journeys. - Increased probability of parking in close proximity to dwelling or delivery point in urban area than with traditional automobile. - Because of the very small frontal area compared with conventional automobiles, and by careful design, low aerodynamic coefficient of drag (Cd) is possible. Cd of 0.19 to 0.21 is estimated for UEV. BMW have achieved 0.18 Cd. Conventional seating road autos are usually above 0.30 Cd. - Vehicle Licencing laws for cost effective L7e quadricycle to allow younger, older and infirm users to drive, with better proximity to destinations, therefore more convenience and access. It could help regenerate regions with poor access to public transport from existing road an refuelling infrastructure. Assets are: Thirteen patents granted in Europe, USA, Japan, UK, two pending India. Freedom to Operate (FTO) to be considered when each product is finalised for each market. Cross - licensing, purchasing other IP, patent pools and defensive disclosures may be considered in commercialising.
