Real time 3D data of biological processes this is a fully tested compact lens system that is compatible with existing microscopes & digital cameras

About

Originally developed for astronomy, this technology builds on patented, field proven work on wavefront sensing and adaptive optics. Attaching easily to existing microscopes (at the camera port), the lens system uses a special grating to project multiple image slices simultaneously to the camera. These slices represent different image planes and provide at least 3 separate images (at different focal depths) that are captured and analysed and stacked by the software to give positional information.   Key Benefits: Provides real time 3D data of biological processes Lens system is compatible with existing microscopes & digital cameras Compact optical system suitable for Inverted or Upright microscopes Tested in Fluorescence, DIC, Bright/ Dark Field & Phase contrast microscopy imaging modes Dedicated image capture & Particle tracking software for high speed imaging   Applications: “Proof of Concept” has been demonstrated on existing microscopes (e.g. Olympus IX71) Prototype lens systems are available for testing Particle tracking software available (alpha version) “Broadband” system in development   IP Status: Seeking licensees or developers in microscopy, imaging, biophotonics & life sciences sectors who see utility in this real time imaging technique. Patented background IPR exists - WO04113856A1 supported by journal papers, conference presentations etc that are available on request.
