Data is collected from farm, pack house, cold store, land, and sea logistics which is then aggregated into useful ESG data that can be used to infer supply chain ESG performance.

About

We collect data at each point in the fresh produce supply chain to shed light on every step therein. Data is collected from farming, land, and sea logistics which is then aggregated into useful data that gets passed through our online platform. Our online platform ensures growers and buyers are kept out of the dark by providing transparency at every step. Users benefit from useful data so that they can keep track of orders and shipments, as well as use historical data to make more informed decisions. Globally, there is a convergence towards sustainable production and consumption. There are regulatory shifts that are mandating companies to report on ESG metrics. Furthermore, this shift will require companies to have true and actionable data on their supply chains. Using our existing workflow and ETL tools, we can overlay sustainability metrics (currently carbon emissions, food loss, and job quality) and infer the true cost and impact of imported fresh produce. This year, we are going to "oversee" 200 000 000 boxes of fresh produce from South Africa. This will form the basis of growth in South Africa and eventually to other production regions.

Key Benefits

Our solution provides a low touch method which can bed scaled to collect data throughout a fragmented supplier base which suffers from limited data visibility. This allows for greater compliance and risk reduction to suppliers and retailers by having a clear line of sight from production to consumption, with full digital traceability. Our solution aims to add value by concentration on the supply chain blind spots which are risks both to reputation and environmental health by providing previously hidden insights. Through our proprietary data collection methodologies we can (i) Improve the environment by understanding supply chain processes (ii) Ensure compliance to the upcoming CSRD regulations (iii) Reducing the cost and pain of supply chain data collection and interdepartmental data sharing by providing a specific platform that can integrate into various tools and workflows. We already have an extensive client base and coverage which we can leverage to provide insight from day 1.
