HabitatSense is a solar powered AI camera system with 150 degrees of vision (night and day). It controls an ultrasonic speaker array, targeting animals safely with sound and light
About
Working with farmers in the UK, we've developed a system that identifies the animals living in an environment and targets predators (e.g. Badgers / Foxes) to safely deters them away from target areas. HabitatSense uses an AI powered camera which has been trained on thousands of images of wildlife, allowing the system to precisely identify animals and can be set to deter any animal it can see.
When predators are detected, an array of high powered ultrasonic speakers are set to a precise frequency that is within the hearing range of the animal it sees. A unique and variable sound is played each time an animal is detected, significantly reducing the ability for animals to become accustomed to the deterrent.
Alongside this is a high powered array of LED lights which act as a strobe light to increase the intensity of deterrent.
Key Benefits
- Precisely deters animals it see with ultrasonic speakers and strobe lights
- Uses a low-powered, onboard AI computer
- Connected to the cloud for regular updates and improvements
- Solar powered, 24/7 operation
- Low maintenance
- Simple pole-mount design allowing for positioning anywhere
Applications
- Automated logging of animal sightings within an environment
- Safely deters animals that react to ultrasonic sounds and light
- Deterrence can be modified to use more intense deterrence, i,e, propane cannon to generate loud 'boom'- it can trigger any electronic device via a universal relay
- 150 degree field of view, both night and day
