Introduction The Advanced Instrumentation Technology Centre (AITC) is a new precision manufacturing and test facility. It provides increased capability in the development of high performance instrumentation, precision manufacturing, rapid prototyping and the test and evaluation of small spacecraft. Opportunity The Advanced Instrumentation Technology Centre (AITC) provides design, manufacturing and testing capabilities for precision instruments and opportunities for student participation in technical projects at Research School of Astronomy & Astrophysics. It is also home to a research and development program focussing on the next generation of large optical telescopes. The AITC provides increased capability for Australia in the development of high performance instrumentation, precision manufacturing, rapid prototyping, and the test and evaluation of small spacecraft.
