A BAS system providing oversight of relative positions of FPSO and shuttle tankers sharing dynamic position, ROT, closing distances, customizable alarms

About

Market ready and already deployed on FPSOs off Africa, and a project underway off Bangladesh. Highly accurate positioning and navigation data is shared between the FPSO (or FLNG/SPM) and an approaching shuttle tanker.

Key Benefits

Fixed equipment on board the FPSO fits into a server rack in the central control room and interfaces with either a desktop (or laptop) computer. Portable equipment is supplied to the pilot on the approaching tanker. The system has economic advantages over some of the heavy solutions already marketed for this function. Provides essential visualization of FPSO/FLNG in relation to offtake or loading tanker and any other support vessels. Optionally can interface with Hawser tension monitoring systems.

Applications

The system is suitable for tandem mooring, or side by side mooring operations. Equally can be used by offtake tankers connecting to SPMs.
