Achieving high dielectric response and tunability with small loss over a wide temperature range through modulation of the internal bias in functionally graded capacitors.

About

Description: The multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) have attracted a great deal of attention for their huge amount of usages and applications. However, the typical dielectric materials used in MLCC have the problem of a nonlinear change of capacitance over the temperature range due to their intrinsic ferroelectric characteristics. The X7R (-55°C to +125°C with a capacitance change of at most ±15%) dielectric compositions were developed but the problem of temperature nonlinearity still lay on use in harsh environment conditions such as polar region and space. We provide the strategy for achieving high dielectric response and tunability with small loss over a wide temperature range through modulation of the internal bias in functionally graded capacitors.
