Chromition supply proprietary Luminspheres (photoluminescent), Elecspheres (semiconductor) & Dielecspheres (dielectric) nanoparticle solutions and collaborate with applications.
About
Printed Electronics Bioimaging Polymer Printing Photoluminescent Polymer Multispectral Imaging Chromition is a UK based SME that was spun-out by Mark McCairn & Michael turner in 2014 to commercialise optoelectronic technology developed over a decade from the Organic Materials Innovation Centre, a UK centre of excellence in printed electronics, at the University of Manchester. Chromition's portfolio comprises three technologies Luminspheres, Elecspheres & Dielecspheres. Luminspheres are photoluminescent polymer particles that are exceptionally bright and free of both scarce rare earth metals and toxic heavy metals with applications including LED lighting, security-printing, decorative-printing, sunlight-down conversion & bioimaging. Ultra-bright photoluminescent particles Tuneable colour emission Free of rare-earth & heavy metals Scalable environmentally considerate preparation Elecspheres are semiconductor polymer aqueous inks that can be printed under ambient conditions into transistor based electronics and sensors; circumventing the difficulty in processing sparingly soluble semiconductor polymers from toxic/flammable solvent often at elevated temperature. Semiconductors for TFT based electronics & sensors Water based semiconducting polymer inks Printable RoHS compliant being free of heavy metals Enables processing of insoluble semiconductor polymers Scalable environmentally considerate preparation Dielecspheres is an ink that can be processed from solution to form the dielectric layer of transistor based electronics and sensors that can operate at ultra-low power below 1 volt. Dielectric for TFT based electronics & sensors Ultra-low power operation (1V) Solution processed RoHS compliant being free of heavy metals
