Clēan Flow decontaminates against pathogens, viruses, molds and mildews using hydroxyl-radicals, leaving behind just water and oxygen and extending shelf life.

About

The Clēan Flow process uses a combination of ultraviolet light, hydrogen peroxide and ozone gas to generate hydroxyl-radicals which are the most powerful disinfectant that naturally occur in nature, leaving behind just water and oxygen. This process results in food with a longer shelf life that is safer for consumption. This method is chemical-free, highly effective and takes less than 30 seconds. This waterless process provides a high level of sanitization against pathogens (ex. Listeria, Salmonella), viruses (ex. COVID-19, Norovirus, Hepatitis), molds and mildew. It allows for verification of results and compliance with regulations. The adaptability of the technology has grown far beyond agri-food production, creating solutions across many industries. Most recently Clēan Works Inc. has been able to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. Working with health authorities across multiple countries, Clēan Works Inc. has a machine with the capability of killing 99.99% of COVID-19 infected matter on materials and surfaces including N95 masks and other personal protective equipment. It has been approved by Health Canada as a class 2 medical device per the COVID interim Order (IO).It has also been recognized by 3M, in their recent Technical Bulletin, as being one of their few sanitization partners approved to sanitize their wide variety of mask.

Key Benefits

The Clēan Flow process is quick and efficient, taking less than 30 seconds and can kill beyond 99.99% of pathogens (ex. Listeria Salmonella), viruses (ex. COVID-19, Norovirus, Hepatitis), molds and mildew. The Clēan Flow process uses no water, preventing a scientifically proven source of cross-contamination and potentially eliminating an ongoing cost to operations. It kills molds and mildews and eliminates rot, which will significantly extend the shelf life of produce by 25% or more. The Clēan Flow process can be done at any step of the fresh produce supply chain, from grower to retailer, and on all kinds of food products. It can also be used to decontaminate the bins and containers used for transport and storage. The Clēan Flow process leaves nothing behind but water and oxygen. There are no by-products on your produce—nothing to taste or smell but the produce itself. Units use sanitary design, are simple to run, and easy to maintain.

Applications

Clēan Works Inc. was originally created to tackle the worldwide problem of food contamination and can sanitize and decontaminate the following on a microbiologicial level: • Foods (including produce, proteins, dried goods etc), allowing for safe consumption and longer shelf life • Transportation (sea containers, refrigerated trucks) • Bins, bags and returnable plastic containers • PPE equipment (N95 respirators, surgical masks, face shields, goggles) We currently have customized units in multiple agri-food production facilities across North America. We currently have units decontaminating cases, boxes and shipping containers in North America and the UK. The technology is Health Canada approved on interim order for decontaminating PPE against COVID-19. It is currently in use at 60+ Hospital and Emergency service locations including the National Research Council of Canada and the Canadian Department of National Defense. We are able to work with our customers and research partners (University of Guelph, McMaster University, Nation Research Council of Canada, 3M) to validate for specific needs (from frozen blueberries, microgreens, to face shields and shipping boxes) The adaptability of the technology has grown far beyond agri-food production, creating solutions across many industries.
