Clarena CM is a family of non-hazardous materials for the treatment of clay in concrete. The latest innovation allows the reuse of aggregate filter fines in concrete production.

About

In current practice aggregates with high clay contents are often washed to make them suitable for use in a range of applications including concrete production. Currently the resulting fines from this process do not have any use and need to be disposed of. Clarena is a non-hazardous material that mitigates the clay in these fiter fines, allowing their commercial use in the production of concrete in combination with standard superplasticiser admxtures.

Key Benefits

Sustainability - materials that are currently disposed of are available for use in concrete production, replacing and conserving natural resources. Value / Cost - materials that need to be handled for disposal with associated costs are converted to saleable / usable products with an assoiciated sales / internal value.

Applications

Treatment of aggregate materials that contain clay, which impacts on the performance of concrete. Allows the use of waste aggreate fines that contain clay in the production of concrete.
