Effectively eliminates the effects of double vision while keeping intact full peripheral vision and depth perception

About

Treatment for monocular diplopia, or double vision, currently consists of wearable glasses with prisms or total occlusion of one eye using an eye patch. These treatments are uncomfortable, unpopular and associated with total loss of depth perception and peripheral vision from one eye. Our patented approach is based on a soft contact lens with a diffuse, central occluded area that effectively eliminates the effects of double vision while keeping intact full peripheral vision and depth perception. Following a successful first clinical trial a second trial is underway to establish efficacy. It is available to licence.
