About Glider Yachts The Glider Yacht design began in 2007 followed by more than six years research and design and three years of concurrent development, model testing, software analysis and gaining leading industry expert analysis. Extensive prototyping, followed using industry leading Computer Aided Design (CAD) and analysis software, as well as structural analysis and model testing; making the Glider design a fully validated and viable offering to the Superyacht market. The unique, patentable technologies that we have developed will enable unprecedented speeds, efficiency and comfort, and are the result of careful selection and analysis of development in materials and technology across the world. Gliders are constructed using hybrid composite aluminium and carbon-fiber, with the latest resin infusion techniques employed for weight reduction, high integral strength and excellent performance. Our development process has been closer to that used in the Formula 1 and Aerospace industries than traditional ship-building. While our Superyachts are all fully customised, our engineering team ensures that robustness, reliability and ease of servicing will never be compromised.
