About
KOIOS have a Data Quality as a Service cloud that provides manufacturers, distributors, freight, trade finance and end users with a global digital language that enables them to communicate and transfer data effectively and in real time - allowing them to break down the traditional trade barriers, replace traditional paper based forms, and allow integration with other systems eg Customs, Tax, Trade Finance, Freight and others. The service is based on similar international standards to NATO, namely ISO 8000-110 and others.
Key Benefits
At the moment most parties in a supply chain or trade ecosystem will use different descriptions and data for the same product (item of supply). The key benefits of the KOIS Quality Data cloud lies in the Data Dictionary and Thesaurus. This is based on International Standards (BSI, DIN, ANSI etc) from which all products are made. To these standards (our data core) we then add manufacturers data (items of supply). We therefore have a key unique identifier for every product in the world. This enables everyone in the supply chain to exchange data in machine readable form - which is not the same as digitally - a PDF could be described as a digital document but it requires human intervetion to use it. The KOIOS system also allows anyone on the ecosystem to give any name they like to a product but to map that name to the unique identifier without having to change their own systems, which would be extremely expensive and time consuming. So KOIOS is an incredibly versatile tool that can help transform the digital transformation of noth the global supply and trade ecosystems.
