About

Description: This invention is an air-liftable, modular, rapidly deployable shelter with primary use for military operations, disaster relief, camping, or storage, but which may have other purposes. Inspired by the ancient art of origami paper folding, this invention can be compactly folded to fit onto a 463L pallet — a standard military pallet that enables transportation by air, rail, or truck. It then rapidly deploys to a self-supporting module. Modules can be disassembled and reused. Modules can be combined into a variety of configurations for maximum versatility. Alternatively, this invention could also serve as a strategy for erecting pre-fabricated modular components of permanent structures.
