As i travel around quarries i always see quarries been pumped out to discharge areas by high pressure pumps My idea to is use the water power at discharge to generate electricity.

About

Hi As i travel around the country in as the MD of a contract crushing company i visit many quarries and they all have one thing in common...! This one thing is the requirements to pump water from the quarry sump holes to a discharge point. As the water leaves at the discharge in point it is more often than not under a good discharge pressure. My innovation idea is to try and harness the power of the water as it exits the discharge on to a water wheel or something similar that could drive an electrical turbine providing green energy from a necessary quarry requirement. This is currently only a thought as we are not experts in electrical power. Thanks Oliver
