Cost reduction in manufacturing, higher resolution, lower energy consumption, low computational complexity

About

Time-of-flight (ToF) cameras use light pulses to measure distances. These cameras emit short light pulses and measure the time required for light to be reflected and return, thus estim ating the distance to the target. This function requires the use of fast analog-to-digital (A/D) converters, which are expensive. We are currently licensing patented software that increases the accuracy of ToF cameras whilst allowing for the use of slow, cheap A/D converters. The software can be calibrated for each camera, thus giving the best possible results. This technology is able to estimate the delay of the light pulse with higher precision than the sampling rate.
