Low VOC. Solvent-free. Proper ties comparable to solvent-type coating. Simple and effective processing & environmentally friendly.

About

Invention A novel method was developed for the preparation of an aqueous polyacrylate (PA) modified polyurethane (PU) dispersion without the use of volatile organic solvents. The PA/PU hybrid emulsion is easy to synthesize with high efficiency. There is no volatile organic compound (VOC) in the aqueous emulsion. The modified polyurethane dispersion can be used in coatings, in particular for woodenware coatings, adhesives and ink.   Marketing Opportunity Conventional coatings are solvent-type which are harmful to the environment. The novel waterborne coating contains no volatile organic solvents or highly toxic materials, such as benzene, xylene, toluene and formaldehyde. This low VOC coating can be applied on woodenware. The proper ties of the solvent-free environment-friendly coating are as good as the traditional solvent products, such as fast-drying, high hardness, high abrasion-resistance, high water-resistance and high chemical-resistance. The synthetic method is easy with low associated cost.   Key Benefits Low VOC Solvent-free Proper ties comparable to solvent-type coating Simple and effective processing & environmentally friendly
