About

Scientists working at NDSU have discovered a way to make vinyl-block bio-based carboxylic acid crosslinkers for epoxy resins that are particularly useful for vegetable oil based epoxy resins. The resulting coatings have an excellent combination of hardness, flexibility, adhesion, and solvent resistance. BENEFITS Final thermoset is a 100% Bio-based system Easy solvent-free synthesis Clear, colourless resin Low viscosity Commercially available inputs Thermosets have high crosslink density, good hardness, excellent adhesion APPLICATIONS Coatings Adhesives Composites Thermoset materials PATENTS This technology is patent pending with fully preserved PCT patent rights and is available for licensing/partnering opportunities.
