High-Efficiency, Stable Organic Thin Film Hole Transporting Material for Perovskite Solar Cells Tech ID: UA20-012 Invention: This invention is a new organic hole transporting material (HTM) for perovskite solar cells which provides improved power conversion efficiency, as well as thin films with improved quality and higher long-term stability, even in dopant-free designs. Background: Perovskite solar cells (PSC), considered to be third generation photovoltaics, have great potential to increase solar energy conversion efficiency and decrease the cost of solar energy cell production. The highest achieved power conversion efficiency for PSCs is now greater than 24%, but the rapid degradation of perovskite materials on exposure to air and moisture is not fully mitigated, limiting their commercial potential.
