Pests, disease, machinery damage, adverse weather. Each season 1 to 5% of mature yielding plants die in High-value commercial orchards & vineyards. In their place, young trees and vines are planted. The struggle is real for these young plants and the growers who invest significant time, labour and money into them. High mortality, stunted growth and delayed yields result from competition for essential resources such as light, nutrients and importantly water. Globally this costs over $203 billion a year in lost production. The solution is unleashing the full potential of young plants with H2Ortigator. Provide precision irrigation, nutrition and protection on a single plant level. H2Ortigator seamlessly integrates and is complementary to existing orchard practices and technologies. Installed at planting H2Ortigator connect into and is controlled by the existing irrigation system, allowing mature plants and young replacement plants to be independantly and differentially managed all via the same system. H2Ortigator physically protects the plant from ringbarking pests, horticultural sprays and machinery damage. Precision irrigation and fertigation directly targets the root zone, whilst the unit shades the soil and fine feeder roots ensuring competitive weeds are suppressed, evaporation is reduced and soil surface temperature fluctuations are regulated. Replacement plant mortality is reduced significantly. Yields and commercial returns can be achieved at least 1 year earlier. Full growth is achieved with an average increase in growth over controls of 65% in the 1st season alone. Labour from manual watering, weeding and herbicide applications is reduced by up to 65%.
