Special design on separation system for effective removal of heavy metals from wastewater. Nanoparticles in the system can be regenerated and reused.

About

Invention The invention utilizes nanoparticle adsorption combined with a separation technique to remove and recover heavy metals from industrial wastewater. The nanosized particles having large specific surface area can easily bind metal ions in solution, resulting in high metal removal efficiency. The separation unit traps the nanoparticles during treatment. The nanoparticles can be recovered with a simple flushing step and the recovered nanoparticles can then be recycled for treatment.   Marketng Opportunity The presence of heavy metals in wastewater can cause severe environmental and health issues. The current technology can effectively remove and separate heavy metals in wastewater, such as the toxic hexavalent chromium ions found in wastewater from electroplating process.   Key Benefits Special design on separation system for effective removal of heavy metals from wastewater Nanoparticles in the system can be regenerated and reused
