RheEnergise is bringing innovation to pumped energy storage. HD Hydro ™ is conceptually like traditional pumped-hydro: when energy is abundant, water is pumped uphill, through pipes (penstock), into an elevated reservoir, storing the energy. When electricity is needed, the water is released, passing through turbines and flowing into the lower reservoir, regenerating electricity in the process. However, HD-Hydro replaces water with a non-toxic, low-viscosity fluid with 2.5x the density of water, in a closed-loop system. The advantages of the higher density are: smaller project area; lower vertical elevations required; little water abstraction and prevention of evaporation. The supply-chain component consists of: Local supply and subsequent local processing of minerals to manufacture RheEnergise's High-Density Fluid, and capture of IP to apply to future projects. RheEnergise's HD-Hydro solution is unique among energy-storage solutions due to the large percentage (up to 75% )of the total project value spent within local communities: Mineral supply; fluid processing; high labour content for construction; potentially local supply of civil engineering, pipes, storage tanks and valves

Pumped Hydro Storage (PHS) is the most mature and lowest cost form of energy storage, accounting for > 90% of global energy storage • RheEnergise's High-Density Hydro® solution is like PHS only better - using our proprietary HD Fluid R-19, which has 2.5 the density of water. R-19 gives projects 2.5x the power and energy compared to water. • Rather than requiring large mountains, projects can be installed on many more hills or mine shafts with just 100 - 300m elevation. • 2.5x smaller by volume, meaning lower construction costs, faster build times and easier landscaping: projects can be entirely hidden, meaning planning permission is simplified. • We use an environmentally benign fluid, contained in a closed loop system. So systems can be installed in any climate, without the risk of evaporation. • The energy storage system scales with longer durations, and is well suited to the 2-16 hour duration range, which is ideal for firming intermittent solar and wind, making those technologies dispatchable
