Improved Seat Belt

Every passenger whether travelling in the Economy, Premium Economy, Business or First Class in airplane have to use safety seat belt while taking off and landing of the plane and even sometimes during mid-air in case of air turbulence etc. These passengers safety seat belts are bound to be lying on the seat/chair, causing irritation and discomfort to the passengers as and when a passenger irrespective of his class sits on his seat usually forget to keep aside both parts (may be known as male-female parts) of seat belts, thus it pinches and creates nuisance when asking for tie the belt by the airplane attendant/captain/commander or by flashing lights meant for this purpose The decade-old outdated seat belts can be upgraded when better options are available with us. We often use seat belts in cars, buses, trucks etc. wherein female components of seat belt took reversed position when not in use and the male component is always affixed. On the basis of the upgraded version of seat belts used in cars, buses, trucks etc. are never found lying on the seat. The both part of the belt can be designed for locking of the seat in the centre of belly if it is a dire necessity. This feature can be incorporated on the both sides of the seat or on the back support portion of the seat subject to feasibility. The technology involved in cars, buses, trucks etc. seat belts is not complicated in anyway and can be transplanted in airplanes easily until and unless there is technically hindrance or safety concerns etc. which do not allow us to upgrade these seat belts as being used in cars/buses. Virgin Atlantic can be the first Airline to introduce such types of features in order to improve the comfort of Economy, Premium Economy, Business and First Class Travellers. It is very strange that we are not able to provide the level of comfort to the air passengers which is available to car/bus passengers. It would certainly be an extraordinary solution to improve the ergonomics, customer experience and will enhance the comfort level of air passengers of all class if the upgraded version of a seat belt is possible.
