About

Technology: The inventors have developed a novel system to perfuse tissue-engineered tubular grafts (TETGs). The system consists of a cost-effective bioreactor that was designed in order to homogeneously perfuse tubular constructs by creating a continuous flow of media into their lumen. In the initial phase, the flow of the culture is dynamic without generating the forces of shear stress which minimizes cell loss. Application: * Any tissue engineering application involving 3D tubular constructs such as blood vessels, urethra, nerves, airways, bowels, etc.  Advantages: * Simple * Cost-effective * Minimal maintanance * Minimal user interaction * Fluid dynamically efficient Available as a research tool
