Revolutionizing sustainability with a plant-based gold leaching technology which extracts valuable minerals from ore and toxic tailings wastes while reducing environmental impact.

About

The Company has a solution to impact the future use of mercury in artisanal gold ore processing, the planet’s largest anthropogenic source of deadly global atmospheric mercury pollution and is seeking impact investment capital to fund the implementation of our ESG driven climate action initiative in Ecuador’s Portovelo-Zaruma mining district.

Key Benefits

An Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) driven climate action initiative and technology designed to replace mercury, a deadly neurotoxin, used in artisanal ore processing with manipueira, nature’s safer solution proven to sustainably leach 2 - 3 times more gold from ore than by using mercury, and gold from toxic tailings wastes faster and less costly than by using cyanide salts. Globally, an estimated 20 million impoverished artisanal and small-scale gold (ASG) miners in 80 countries including, 4.5 million women and 600,000 children under age 15, all largely suspected of having undiagnosed mercury poisoning, use mercury to process ore. According to ASIA PACIFIC FOUNDATION OF CANADA 2016 publication, ASG miners global use of mercury to recover gold from ore produces an estimated 20% of the world’s annual supply of gold which is valued at USD $30 billion and is used to make our jewellery, used in computers, iPads, iPhones, and other e-devices.A common theme amongst organizations involved in the reduction and/or the elimination of the use of mercury in ASG mining is: (i) ASGM is responsible for our planet’s largest anthropogenic [man-made] source of deadly global mercury pollution; and (ii) the ~20 million impoverished ASG miners are responsible for the release of 2,000 tonnes of mercury to the environment annually while an Indonesia mercury watch dog reports that 10,000 tonnes of mercury are produced annually for the artisanal miners which is released to our environment annually.Mercury is omni present, it never goes away.Globally, atmospheric mercury pollution impacts all people on Earth including unborn children who are at the greatest risk! Mercury penetrates the blood placenta barrier and the blood brain barrier.

Applications

After years of research, the Company is targeting Ecuador’s Portovelo-Zaruma mining district to implement its ESG driven climate action initiative where 68 chilean processing centers are lined up along one square mile on the Calera and Amarillo riverbanks which process ~50,000 artisanal miners ore including 10,000 local and ~40,000 neighboring miners ore transported for processing using mercury and to sell their dehydrated tailings wastes. The Company drafted preliminary design schematics in an interactive flow chart prototyping the world’s first sustainable manipueira precious metals leaching center (Manipueira Leaching Center) for processing ore and toxic tailings wastes based on the conversion of a whole ore mercury amalgamation chilean processing center (Chilean Center) having an 80 tonne/day processing capability.Chilean processing centers vary as to their operating capacity ranging from 10 and up to 200 tonnes per day. The type of ore processing equipment employed also varies and impacts on the costs and timing of any proposed conversions and where the conversion of a Chilean Center, is the most expensive and incurs the greatest time expenditure.Strategically, the Company determined the greatest marketing, financial, & environmental impact would be obtained through the formation of a JVP with the owner(s) of whole ore mercury amalgamation chancha barrel processing centers (Chancha Center) or the outright purchase to demonstrate our technology & validate our claims of 2 – 3 times more Au recovery and promote our ESG driven climate action initiative throughout the mining district. Chancha Centers process whole ore using mercury placed in chancha barrels[9] with water and other additives to amalgamate with the gold while rotating and being crushed by steel rods and river rocks. Many of these centers don’t have tailings ponds and discharge their mercury laden gold rich tailings directly into the Calera and Amarillo rivers. Mercury only amalgamates with liberated (free) gold in the crushed ore slurry which becomes tailings wastes containing 70 - 80% of the ore gold. Manipueira leaching bonds with all liberated and exposed gold to recover > 95%+
