Summary: New microcantilever sensory system for nanosensing applications. The microcantilever functions based on a consensus algorithm are incorporated into the design. The microcantilever is comprised of multiple pieces of piezoelectric material attached to its surface and the output of the piezoelectric sensors is processed through a novel state observer. The observer uses the consensus algorithm and the piezoelectric sensors as a multi-agent sensory system.
