Using AI histopathology Analyses to model the progress of a cancer from diagnosis and throughout treatment to optimise the outcome

About

This is a joint development supported by the Institute of Artificial Intelligence at De Montfort University and in close collabporation with the Insitiute of Oncology, Javeriana University Hispital, Bogota, Colombia. We are joining forces with each of our state of the art expertise to create a holistic model between image analysis and dynamic modelling of the data to optimise a treatment plan.

Key Benefits

With our novel algorithms and analyses we are able to not only support and enhance cancer diagnosis, but we can enable the modelling of the progress of the condition and treatment. Our modelling will then enable the optimisation of a treatment with benefits to the patient in the form of maximum effectiveness, while benefiting the provider by maximising the use of resource thus translating in savings (including budget, time and supplies) while providing a better service. Finally, the use of the system will provide traceability and accountability on the decisions taken and justification of the details of treatment.

Applications

Applications include: 1. Histopathology diagnosis support, 2. Holistic data analyses combining the diagnosis based on image analysis and other diagnosis tests and results, 3. Condition and treatment progression modelling, 4. Large scale analyses to learn from historical (global) data and contextualise it into the patient’s individual case, 5. Treatment plan optimisation, 6. Treatment plan audit for traceability and accountability.
