Studies have consistently demonstrated that inhibiting NCAM-VASE signalling promotes neuronal growth and repair

About

Expression of isoforms of Neuronal Cell Adhesion Molecule (NCAM) which contain the VASE exon have been shown to prevent CNS repair. Studies have consistently demonstrated that inhibiting NCAM-VASE signalling promotes neuronal growth and repair. This presents a target molecule for the treatment of neuronal loss due to injury, stroke, or disease. We have filed patents for various NCAM-VASE inhibitors and are currently looking for partners to further their development as potential therapies.
