Off-grid Hybrid Water Heating System based on proprietary technology of storing energy in water based on a large water bladder heated by a heat pump d powered by green energy

About

The Thermoflex™ is an off-grid Hybrid Water Heating System based on our proprietary technology of storing energy in water. A large water bladder heated by a heat pump using Energy Storage technology and powered by Renewable Energy sources. The system can be used for hot water supply for buildings, houses complexes, lodges, etc.

There is a time difference between when solar energy is available (sun hours) and the time that hot water is mostly used (morning & evening). To fill the gap, the Thermoflex™ is using a large volume water bladder as a mean to store energy as hot water. During solar hours, the water is heated, and can be used whenever needed. Almost no electricity storage is required.

The Thermoflex™ has several inherent advantages:

1.     The water is heated to the desired temperature – less energy wasted.

2.     The solar energy is stored in the form of hot water.

3.     No contact between the heating element and the water.

4.     Lower temperature eliminates the risk of burns – especially with kids.

5.     No metal elements in contact with the water.

6.     Minimum maintenance.

Key Benefits

Current solar heating systems are based on thermo-solar panels that heat the water in up to 200-liter boiler. When solar is not available the boiler uses electricity from the grid. To allow several people to take shower, the water is heated to temperature of 80-850C; during shower the hot water is mixed with cold water in order to reach the desired water temperature for shower which is 35-450C. This wastes a lot of energy. Also, the heating element in the boiler works at 120/220V and needs 2–2.5 KWH. The high temperature in the boiler, causes various problems (especially to the heating element) that require constant maintenance. Those kinds of systems are designed on a “Heating on Demand” concept which requires an aggressive heating approach applying high power. Once the water reaches the desired temperature, the access solar-light available is wasted and not used anymore. EZPack® concluded that the solution is in reducing the water temperature to the “shower” temperature (45-500C); being able to do it, will save significant amount of energy. However, in order to be able to provide enough water at “shower” temperature much larger storage volume is needed.

Applications

The global solar water heater market size will be driven by rising demand for eco-friendly, dependable, and affordable technology for water heating solutions across residential and non-residential sectors. In comparison to traditional heating systems, the solar water heater has the capacity to provide low operating costs, or 25% to 40% in winter and 75% in summer. The demand for energy-efficient solutions is being driven by a growing understanding of how to use sustainable technologies effectively and rising infrastructure expenditure. The implementation of incentives like tax breaks, subsidies, and tax credits will also help to promote the use of sustainable technology, which will improve the outlook for the company. The need for energy-efficient water heaters is anticipated to expand every year as a result of the increasing depletion of non-renewable resources, together with greater efforts to control energy use. This should accelerate market growth during the timeframe of the projection. In order to appeal to a wider spectrum of clients, regardless of their financial status, these systems are priced inexpensively. It is anticipated that greater environmental awareness would spur industry expansion in both developed and emerging countries.

The worldwide market size in 2023 is 5.85 billion USD, forecasted to grow at rate of 5.6% to 9.56 billion USD in 2032 (Solar Water Heaters Market Size To Hit USD 9.56 Bn By 2032 (precedenceresearch.com)
