About
The Omniskia system applies quantum optimization, reinforcement learning and network visualization to help route passengers to their destination (in this case to the airport or home from the airport) as efficiently as possible in the face of real-time service changes across all transport modes. We are multimodal (train, bus, car, other) and can also take actual individual passenger preferences into account in addition to managing optimization across service interruptions and congestions for thousands or even millions o passengers in real time. We built the system to help railway and bus authorities route passengers in the face of service changes, however it could be used by airports as well.

For the airport the passenger experience is improved and passengers can arrive at the airport earlier and more reliably to help airport operations from check in to security to shopping to boarding run more smoothly. For passengers customer satisfaction will be increased. The app will also redistribute and reduce the load on local ground transport leading to more pleasant cities and happier stakeholders. By making travel more efficient it also benefits the environment.
Applications
The initial application is to help rail dispatchers to reroute passengers dynamically in the face of service delays by sending new routing in real time to their smartphones. In the current application, it will be the airport or an automated system rerouting passengers based on their starting point or destination vis-a-vis the airport, taking into account all travel modes that a given passenger is willing to engage in (car, taxi, train, subway, bus etc.) for the most efficient and pleasant multimodal solution.
