Agrocorp International, an agri-commodities company based in Singapore, with a global footprint, has signed on a JV with one of Japan's largest dairy companies and we will start a plant protein extraction facility in Malaysia from late 2025. Pea Protein Isolate at 80 85% purity will be the key product, and based on initial blind taste tests, our pea protein isolates are cleaner tasting and more acceptable as compared to commonly available pea protein isolates in the market. Production of pea protein isolates will also be more efficient than the usual wet fractionation processes, with the use of an evaporator and a patented ‘technology’, we will be able to reduce water usage in production by up to 60%, making our plant protein production more sustainable.

Agro Snow Malaysia is a joint venture company between Agrocorp International and Megmilk Snow Brand, one of the largest dairy company in Japan. The JV will see us building a pea protein extraction facility in Malaysia that produces Pea Protein Isolate , Starch and Fibre using the wet fractionation extraction process. Our existing dry fractionation yellow pea protein plant in Cut Knife, Canada, has been operational since 2020 and able to produce industry leading 60% Protein Concentrate. Leveraging our experience in operating protein plant, our new plant in Malaysia will use wet fractionation technology to extract Pea Protein Isolate with 80 85% purity. From initial blind panel taste tests, our pea protein isolate provides a rich and inviting aroma with minimal bitterness and was preferred for its overall cleaner taste as compared to other pea protein isolates currently available in the market. Factory will be operational in late 2025 and will serve the plant-based ingredient needs in the Asia Pacific region.
