Peak's mission is to do great things with data, powering the world’s smartest companies with artificial intelligence (AI) to drive growth, profitability and sustainability.

About

We’re at the dawn of the AI era At Peak, we believe that every business will need to be powered by AI in the future to remain competitive. AI is a key driver of the fourth industrial revolution, and its effect is being increasingly seen in peoples’ everyday lives; it’s in our homes, cars, devices and, of course, in business. The proliferation of data means that AI is the only way for businesses to make sense of – and draw value from – the masses of data they’re producing and storing. Simply put, humans alone cannot handle the thousands of SKUs, data points and complexity that the modern enterprise has to contend with. We’re on a mission to help businesses be successful in this exciting new era, by supporting humans and technology to work together to deliver amazing outcomes. We’ve built a first-of-its-kind enterprise AI System and are powering the world’s smartest companies to drive growth, increase profitability and – crucially – improve sustainability. Forward-thinking businesses who are embracing AI are seeing incredible results – AI-powered businesses grow 30% faster than their non-AI peers, with 50% higher profit margins. There’s little doubt that the time for AI is now, but not every business is capable of succeeding with AI on their own. That’s why Peak is here. Why Peak? Peak is the first AI company to offer outcome-focused solutions working across the entire value chain – built to optimise for profit, drive significant cost reductions, and reduce a business’ wastage and carbon footprint. We leverage a business’ data from across the entire organisation to predict and prescribe actions that are closely aligned to their overall business objectives. Peak’s AI solutions have been designed to optimise processes and effectiveness across specific business functions. However, rather than acting in a siloed way – optimising one element of a business to the detriment of another – Peak controls the supply and demand cycle, improving growth and profitability, as well as enabling a more 1:1 customer experience. We help enterprise businesses to acquire and retain more customers, better manage their demand planning and forecasting, and also improve warehouse and logistics efficiencies. The AI System integrates seamlessly into all enterprise systems, whilst getting smarter over time – so you can deploy AI across your whole business without needing to rip and replace legacy systems. Our approach allows businesses to start small, think big and act fast when it comes to introducing AI. AI for sustainability By centralising data and using AI across the business, Peak supports the core metrics of your P&L. However, we also place a key focus on enabling your business to become more sustainable. Here’s a closer look at some of our sustainability-focused use cases... Leading global CPG brand We currently have a solution in testing phase with a leading CPG brand which has the potential to significantly reduce the global food and beverages organisation’s CO2 emissions. The company has multiple distribution centres located across the UK, and Peak has identified an exciting opportunity to optimise the company’s Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) process to increase the efficiency of its stock allocation processes. By leveraging the company’s data with AI, we’re able to optimise stock levels at each distribution centre and the movements of stock between multiple centres. This is based on factors such as demand (actual and forecasted), production output, processing costs and transport costs. The optimisation has been implemented with a view to significantly reducing transportation and operational costs, leading to reduced truck journeys and a decrease in CO2 emissions. Over a one year period, Peak’s work with this business has identified an opportunity to take trucks off the road and reduce truck journeys between distribution centres by 200,000 km. This is the equivalent of an incredible reduction of 147 tonnes in CO2 emissions. Aludium Aludium is a leading supplier of aluminium sheets and coils. Headquartered in Spain, it has a large network of external suppliers that it distributes to and from on a regular basis. Aluminium slabs are expensive, and Aludium finances the costs of holding them, which can become very costly. Peak has developed an optimisation model which uses linear programming to reduce inventory and spend. This carries significant environmental benefits, with the business able to reduce the amount of aluminium it manufacturers due to more streamlined and optimised inventories and a more intelligent view of demand. The next phase of our roadmap with Aludium will see us work with the business in order to further reduce the amount of aluminium it manufacturers and buys from external sources, by being able to recycle more of its own aluminium. By developing an AI-powered, full circular economy with its processes, Aludium expects to be able to significantly increase the percentage of aluminium it is able to recycle, leading to a more sustainable operation and a huge reduction in wastage. Speedy FTSE-listed equipment rental and hire provider, Speedy, has a challenge around forecasting accuracy, and being able to optimally manage its inventory across multiple depots and sites. Peak has developed a wide range of AI-powered forecasting algorithms based on factors such as product popularity and seasonality. These help to optimise Speedy’s inventory holdings across thousands of SKUs, allowing them to hold onto minimal assets to reduce costs, whilst also maintaining service levels and ensuring that product availability is sufficient. From a sustainability point of view, we’ve been able to use AI to minimise truck journeys carrying inventory between Speedy’s nationwide depots and sites, by ensuring that each depot is stocked with the right levels of inventory to serve its customers in the most efficient way.
