Redhill Scientific's patented thin-film, low pressure, low temperature scalable patented plasma reactor system dissociates water (i.e. breaks apart H20) to create OH radicals. Our liquid film reactors create hydroxyl (•OH) radicals formed by the dissociation of water by plasma generated within the chambers. Over 20 years in the making, our patented process creates nitrate fertilizer on-site and on-demand with a simple combination of air, water, and electricity. Our machines replicate the natural nitrate creation process found in thunderstorms. It’s literally lightning in a bottle. And because growers acquire our production machines as a one-time fixed capital expense, they can avoid the variable, recurring cost of petroleum-based fertilizer that fluctuates wildly according to global oil prices. Redhill Scientific's sanitation and sterilization family of products Our devices create an ultra-fine antiseptic mist of highly reactive chemical species such as hydroxyl radicals (•OH), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), peroxynitrite, ozone, and nitric acid (HNO3). •OH has an oxidation potential twice as high as chlorine bleach and can oxidize most oxidizable materials and compounds in both liquid and gas phases. The antiseptic mist is considered “green”. Leaves no toxic residue —degrading rapidly into water vapor. Our technology is scalable, safe, and simple to manufacture into a broad variety of devices using a common, highly robust architecture. Because antiseptic spray generating units can be transported without the weight, volume, or associated shipping costs of traditional antiseptic fluids or cleaning fluids. Custodial staff and medical personnel will be better able to sustain sterilization and sanitation capabilities in austere, remote, or mobile environments. Our thin film reactor technology is not a “Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide” solution. Our reactive concentrations are much lower and shorter lived. The mist is meant to be sprayed directly onto objects to be treated, avoiding the corrosive and health hazard effects associated with highly concentrated VHP “fogger” systems.

All of our products and devices use only air, water, and electricity to create abundant OH radicals that chemically react to perform useful work. Within the environmental remediation sector, our scalable TFR-ER family of products treat both liquid and gas phase organic contaminants for more complete remediation with lower energy use than other common methods. Our process is applicable to the BASF asphaltene challenge as part of a multi-stage process where the first step is that toluene, benzene, or detergents are used as a chemical to prevent scaling and clean the lines because asphaltene is soluble in these chemicals. That results in a chemical mix of toluene, benzene, asphaltene, and/ or detergents that is equally nasty and unsustainable. Our value-proposition is that an operator can continue to use these common effective chemicals, but we have a product to remediate them on-site in real time. The second stage would be to run that "dirty" cleaning solution through our cold plasma device where our patented reduction process reduces the organic contaminants into a mix of bioavailable chemicals (such as alcohols). In a third stage, the reduced chemicals are fed into a bioreactor for final reduction by bacteria. At that point, the contaminants are remediated and can be dumped into sewers or the ocean. This process can be used with other hydrocarbon contaminants in liquid and gas phases, and can even be used to clean up spills. A multi-stage setup and the scale necessary for industrial applications is something that would have to be further developed in partnership. However, our commercial machines exist now. The process is entirely scalable, and higher flow rates can be achieved with multiple machines operating in parallel or larger machines. For example, our 480 plasma chamber device can potentially remediate up to 3,000 gallons per day (11,400 litres) assuming a 100 ppm baseline concentration and depending on the chemicals that are present. Within the Agriculture sector, Redhill's TFR series is a direct replacement for ammonia-derived nitrogen fertilizers. Our scalable all-natural. non-polluting nitrogen fertilizer generators integrate into existing practices and equipment to provide as much nitrogen fertilizer as needed without the waste of purchased N fertilizers. Engineered for direct application to plants via spray or irrigation, our non-thermal plasma nitrogen fixation system uses zero fossil fuels, releases zero carbon, is more fully utilized by plants, and reduces the chance of evaporation or nitrogen run-off. We transform the major unavoidable recurring expense of nitrogen fertilizer into a one-time capitalized expense that can be depreciated. Our products are allowable under “Section 179” deductions and other tax breaks on agricultural equipment. The recurring cost is electricity and water. Growers who can self-generate electricity and pump water have no recurring costs. The TFR-series' modular design allows for easy field-servicing of our products and “hot swappable” replacement of most parts without removing the entire machine from operation. The technology is highly scalable and can potentially be sized to any sized farm, and our simple, robust, industrial design is designed for years of continual operation with minimal servicing. Within the sanitation and sterilization sector, our handheld and backpack units create a fine mist of antiseptic compounds that quickly break down into simple water vapor. These compounds are intended to be safe for sealed environments such as dorms, aircraft, ships, and LEED certified buildings while offering customers the benefits of reduced weight, reduced inventory, and reduced recurring costs.
