Our technology allows remote sensors to be applied without some of the traditional challenges presented by weight, distance, and harsh environment.

About

Our technology uses high-intensity light to transfer up to hundreds of watts of power via fiber optic cable. Substantially lighter than copper wires, our technology allows remote sensors to be applied without some of the traditional challenges presented by weight, distance, and harsh environment. The most common problem for large Energy companies is mistakes in electricity counting (mistakes can be up to 15%) due to insufficient accuracy due to noises. The basic concept of technology is the same as solar power, where the sun shines on a photovoltaic cell that converts the sunlight to energy. Here, a photovoltaic cell converts the laser light to energy. The key differences are that laser light is much more intense than sunlight and it works 24 hours per day. Power can be transmitted through optical fibers.

Key Benefits

Our solution provides four major benefits: (1) noise immunity, (2) voltage isolation, (3) spark free operation, and (4) lightweight.

Applications

- Current Measurement Electronic Current Transformers powered via fiber replace instrument transformers as a mean to measure line current in high voltage situations. We can provide a more accurate, more reliable, and safer operation. - Remote Sensors Our solution enables an all-fiber solution for powering, communicating with, and controlling sensor networks in a wide range of applications, e.g. test and measurement; sensing in industrial, medical devices, oil and gas, and aerospace (safer, more accurate in any case). - 5G Market 5G towers require fiber for high speed data transmission, and voltage isolated power for transmitting and receiving. - Tethered drones Tethered drone systems are used for persistent intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance capabilities as well as high-bandwidth communications. They can fly for days. Our solution provides them significantly lighter power supply than common copper wire and transformer.
