A confident method to protect port 3 from water ingress is to utilize a straightforward engineering solution, which involves diverting the released compressed air beyond the water level. Depending on the valve type, our approach may entail minor adjustments to the port 3 valve housing.
It should be noted that any other alternative solutions involving the release of compressed air from a valve submerged in water may lead to changes in its operational characteristics. Our solution, however, does not impact the static and dynamic characteristics of the valve.
