Production of proteins, metabolites, and fine chemicals using microorganisms is practised in many industries, including pharmaceuticals, synthetic chemistry, and biomaterials. However, there are bottlenecks to using these systems for high-yield production of certain products. Research has produced a high throughput method for generating and screening novel genetically modified microorganisms to identify high yield-producing strains. We have filed a patent for the technology and are now looking for co-developers or licensees.
