Asphalt joint elimination at point of laying, low emission and zero waste. The TRR unit fully synchronises with the laying equipment, turning the unit into a seamless paver.

About

The TRR unit replicates paving in echelon, but with a single asphalt paver. This means less traffic management. Joints are thermally bonded, negating the need to cut, paint, pitch or over band asphalt joints. This improves operational outputs in line with LEAN by eradicating several processes during paving. The weakest part of the mat is eliminated, decreasing whole life cost, reducing maintenance and intervention disruptions for the road user. The solution does not effect normal paving operations or laying speeds.

Key Benefits

Reduction in cost over the life of the road. Saves money and time during contracts. Removes the need to back up a vehicle on site making the working environment safer. Removes the need for bituminous jointing material and its application offering significant carbon emission savings. Lowers the need for future maintenance and therefore future closures and traffic management.

Applications

Removing joints in any surface course asphalt. Motorways. Roads. Airport Runways. Utility Trenches. Bridge Decks.
