Host Carbon steel pipe in sizes up to 16 inch is lined with different polymer materials matching the transported fluid properties with a cement layer between the pipe / liner

About

Oil and Gas production environments carry corrosive species, necessitating the use of expensive Corrosion Resistant Alloys (CRA). Duoline introduced the use of Glass Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) lined pipe 22 years ago to the Oil and Gas industry, to provide protection against Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S), free Oxygen, etc. Duoline developed a new solution utilizing in-house expertise in engineering polymers, to extrude high performance thermoplastics with pre-calculated wall thickness, to replace the GRE liner allowing a new envelope of usability in harsh environments. The cement backing of the newly developed system will be implemented following the same successful manufacturing techniques for the existing GRE system, minimizing the overall process variation while keeping the process flow at optimum conditions. The use of extruded high performance thermoplastics allowed the Duoline products to reach reservoirs untapped previously by the company's system, up to 500 degreed Fahrenheit in the most extreme case. The benefits of the new Duoline system reached beyond Oil and Gas industry, to the Geotherma and Lithium extraction communities, where pipe Internal Diameter (ID) surface requires extensive protection against their respective challenges.
