Trint is the world's best automated speech-to-text tool that generates interactive and editable transcripts and lets you create captioned videos and searchable content. It offers a multitude of features to make your transcripts perfect: accent selection, filler filters, speaker labelling, a variety of formats for export. Trint™ is a word we invented, the combination of “transcription” and “interview.” It’s not in the dictionary — at least not yet. Our Story Mark Boas and Jeff Kofman met at the Mozfest conference in London in 2013. Mark and developers Laurian Gridinoc and Mark Panaghiston were previewing technology that synced text to an audio/video player. Jeff was astonished by the genius and simplicity of their innovation. He wondered aloud whether it would work with automated-speech-to-text. Trint was born in December, 2014 when Jeff, Mark, Mark and Laurian sequestered themselves in an AirBnB in Florence, Italy. They plotted out the scope of their project and planned the execution. It took more than a year of experimenting to get it right. Trint's solution is so original that in the spring of 2016 Trint won a grant from the Google Digital News Initiative to support the next phase of innovation. In June 2016 Trint won Startup of the Year from the Global Editors Network. Trint has also received investment from the Knight Foundation’s Enterprise Fund, supporting cutting-edge innovation in journalism. This is just the beginning of our story.
