New transformer fan uses electricity generated by power electronic element which is TEG mounted on the transformer to use its heat and to reduce heat to improve its efficiency and life time. TEG faces transformer from one side and the other side faces the coolant which could be natural, water flows through microchannel heat sink,...etc. This can provide 20 watt per each unit of TEG and this can be used to operate fans or any other measuring or protection device for the transformer.
